You managed to capture what so many other photographers strive for...a perfect slice of life, captured in a single shot. There is nothing about this picture that isn't absolutely perfect. The reflection of the sun and the trees in the water is stunning. The way the trees bend around it, as if it had some magical properties is just astounding to me. The fact that there is bright green grass growing everywhere just adds to it. Your angle could not have been better. You got the sunny trees in the background, and the "goldwater" in the foreground. I'm not sure what's behind the camera, but it couldn't have beaten this one. Your photo has left me in awe. There aren't enough words in the English language to describe the perfection of this piece. Congratulations, this is the greatest photo I've ever seen.
What I like most about this picture is that I have walked through those trees. They are a reality to me yet the picture feels magical. The water makes it so different, yet the lighting of the surrounding probably also takes part.
The second greatest thing after the magic is the warmth. There is warmth in this otherwise cold woods. Adds to the magic now that I think of it.
Did you ever read Tolkiens Lord of the rings? This picture is reminding me sooo much of his description of Lothlorien... He always calls it the golden wood because of the leafes of the mellyrn trees [link]
yeah that's true... I'm so excited about the next one, but can'timagine how they want to make 3 - 3hours movies out of such a small book... I love the book, and I was so angry when I first saw and heard about Azoc - shame on Peter, that's such an unnecessary "action-part"... Well but anyway, it's nice to see all the old places and Gandalf again! Uhh, and I have a new favourit character: How cool is Radagast? Love him, could have laughed my head off when he turned up with his rabbit-sleigh, was sooo hilarious!
I understand in such movies that there are differences with the book. Probably Peter Jackson felt that he had to add some more to the story in order to make 3 movies But do you know what i don't like; this 2 years waiting... It is a torture. I already know every scene of the first part. Radagast is crazy old funny guy i think It was also very funny that there is a birds nest on his head Musics in the movie were epic again. When i left the movietheater i was singing misty mountains already. I see you are from Austria btw. where from Austria? I stayed in Vienna for a year It is a very beautiful city.
yeah - I know exactly what you mean ^^ still I'm looking forward to it I'm especially excited about the next one, I've been to New Zealand while they were filming for the Hobbot in Queenstown, Glenorchy and Te Anau. We weren't allowed to visit the set though but we saw a lot of the scenery after all... I think what we saw was Beors hut but it's just a guess... Sooo I finally want to see prove of it My parents live in lower austria, close to the border of styria (maybe youve been to Mariazell, so on weekends I'm at home and during the week I live in a small appartment in Vienna because I study there Why have you been to Austria for such a long time? DId you do an exchange? I would love to visit the north of europe once... I really wish to see north lights once in my life and of course take some awesome pics of them ^^
Oh you are a lucky one for having visited New Zealand I had started my studies at TU Wien in Informatics back then, then i decided not to continue I liked the city a lot though, i was staying in Meidling. Before the university i was in the Austrian school in Istalbul, that is why i chose Austria afterwards As for northern lights even my city is not North enough, but i was lucky to see them this year
