This picture as a whole displays a wide variety of colors ranging from greens, red, and the gray-blue in the clouds. Out of these colors the ones that stand out to me the most, would actually have to be the contrast between the reds-oranges on the ground and the greens with the trees. The reason being is that normally in a picture like this we would expect these colors to be in the opposite positions (aka the reds in the trees and the greens in on the ground). Along with that the mellow colors in the sky also put more of a focus towards to the lake causing the colors there to stand out even farther. For the Originality of this picture, though there have been many pictures that people took that enveloped lakes, waterfront, and so on. But I never seen one (that I can remember) that did a small pond that showed these colors, plus the angle that the picture was taken doesn't seem to be a very common one. Plus the way the picture was taken it doesn't look like there would be anything around you to be able to get that shot which is a big bonus for a shot like this. Then the technique, just the angle itself was a very good one for this shot, but then stating that it was actually two pictures blended into one made me look farther into the picture. The reason being normally people when they blend two pictures into one it is obvious where it was done due to poor blending. This picture, I can’t find any sort of blending within it, no matter how hard I try to find one, all I have to say there is great work. Finally there’s the impact of the picture. For me this picture probably had more of an impact than most people just because it brought back memories of some of the scenery I saw when I went camping/backpacking. Without that though, this picture gave me a feeling of calming, relaxation, but most prominently joy. All for all, this was an extremely well done picture in every category. This is only my opinion, but to me this is my favorite photo done so far.
This looks epic and strong, but still serene and balanced. I don't see swamp photographs from you so often which makes this more interesting to look at. The trees look stunning and the lightning is perfect.
The composition is really good. Once again, the sky with those nice clouds helped you to get a great atmosphere. I know that dA eats some of the colors, so I am just guessing how RED those REDS is in your computer...
Thanks buddy Exactly, when i was there i thought it would be the perfect place for aurora photography, if they ever show here again Just the open area one would need, neither too foresty nor too plain, and some water for some reflection
