This picture is absolutely wonderful. The focus in the foreground with the bare, dark trees in contrast with the light, colorful sky creates a beautiful and almost other-worldly allusion. The frost and snow on the ground and along the shore provide a nice layer to the piece, almost making the image seem "frozen" in time. The colors in the sunset are just right for the setting, creating a near perfect compliment to the frozen, otherwise fairly barren landscape. I'm not sure if you maybe used a filter to focus and enhance the colors, but if you did it worked amazingly well, and if you didn't I'm incredibly impressed that you captured such a perfect shot!! Well done!!!!
This is a very beautiful photograph. It's calming yet full of contrast.
I think the colors are amazing; I personally love taking photographs of sunsets but I don't have a good camera, only a small digital one. I really enjoy seeing a photo in which someone has carefully captured the colors with such richness. The colors of the snow are of course muted, but still beautifully reflect the sunset. The tree balances out the bright colors and adds some texture to an otherwise rather smooth sky.
I love the composition of the piece; the tree takes up exactly enough room in the lens and provides interesting contour. The streetlamp behind it lets us know that this is a road or path of some kind and not, say, a muddy bank, which I think helps make the path less dull.
The photography itself is obviously of quite high quality. I have no issues there.
All in all, a lovely picture with a good balance of color and plenty of texture to keep the eye interested. I just want to keep looking at it, feeling as if I'm there. It's not as if I've never seen a similar photo, but it's original enough and different enough to stand out in my mind.
Mother Nature makes amends for the lack of colour in the landscape by giving an amazing sky show. Your photos are always so wonderful, and uniquely yours Mehmet. I think you love your adopted country. If you celebrate Christmas I hope it's a happy one, and if you don't, then I hope you have happiness in what ever else you do
