This is the most amazing and eeuueuuwaarrg photograph. I want to favourite it 100 times. Believe me, if I had an online-purchasing-thing it would be bought! Bam! It looks like it was very quiet and other-worldly in the moment you took this photo. I want to go see the northern lights one day. It's one of those things I just HAVE to do before I die, I will spend every last penny I own, if I have to! If I see them and it's as beautiful as this, I'll probably cry from joy! ;(
ok back to the photo: I love that you included the left 'half' of the photo, where there is no green light. Then we can see how the green light sort of melts into the stars, and how the boats, jetty and trees on either side are NEARLY symmetrical. How pleasing and balanced this whole picture is. I also like how our eye is drawn towards that bright light in the distance (what is it?) by the trees, which are closing in towards it, AND the path of the northern lights, that streaks across the sky to it. There's something so wonderful about a picture that makes us look into the distance and wonder what is ahead, isn't there? It's symbolic, I think, of most situations in life.
sorry I rambled, but I think this is deserving of a ramble, x1000!
Thank you very much that you shared your feelings here, i hope you get to see northern lights one day This is my fovorite aurora shot too among all others i took I guess that light maybe an antenna. It was a beautiful night but also creepy with mouses walking around me, hearing but not seeing them
