The Lonely Mountain
One could say, enough with your Tolkien references, but i cannot help it when my photos keep reminding me Middle Earth so badly :D Well in reality this is a photo of Skottinden in Lofoten/Norway, and no manipulative tricks. I must add however, that i was very tempted to add a kickass flying fire dragon to the scene :)

Other than that, i know i've been inactive for some time. Life keeps happening but hopefully i will be able to spend enought time for my photos following this summer. I have so so many photos stacked to share with you :) Stay tuned! :D

Ancient Giants of the World
On a cold and windy late spring evening on Reinebringen. This time i didn't have to wait for a dramatic weather. It was already there, begging to be photographed :)
When i was processing this photo, i didn't intend to get a B&W photo, but trying to bring out the drama of the scene best, i ended up with a B&W version. I guess my melancholic momentary mood processing the photo on a dark, cold and cloudy february night effects it too :) I hope winter ends soon...

Sunset reflections
A may sunset in Jyväskylä. It's been cold and snowy here lately, but days are getting long again, with speed. Usually this is the most boring time of the year for me, when i stay away from photography during winter and have enough with eternal darkness from hell, covered with colorless clouds :D But spring is at the door :D
Have a great colorful sunday!

Ancient Mountains
Mountains, formed in millions of years, still changing slowly...
When you realise, that everything around you is at least a million times older than you, so ancient, but not made by human, only made by that, which made human.

Last snow

It was 30th of may 2017, still wintery up North. I decided to hike up this mountain around midnight time, to get best light conditions. It snowed on the way up, making my hike more slippery and adventerous, but added nice wintery feeling to the photos I got, even though it was suppoesed to be summer almost. It also got too foggy or too cloudy at times, but i kept waiting for the best moment. Again, hours spent alone at the top of a mountain with a constant cold breeze and definitely worth it!
